By now you have seen Ana in several photographs either on my blog, facebook or instagram account. She’s one of my favorite models with her big blue eyes and light and eerie beauty. I have known her for quite some time too and I love her dearly, so when she asked me if I would like to be there when she says “I Do” and capture the moment, I did not hesitate for one second although I don’t specialize in wedding photography. My only concern was the timing: I didn’t want my travels to get in the way. But God has such a wonderful way of arranging every little thing that not only I was able to attend but we had a beautiful and sunny day, a true blessing after the heavy rains that fell the days before, just like a promising new beginning. And a new beginning it was, for both Ana and Laurentiu.
We started the photo session early in the morning, in one of Bucharest parks, Parcul Carol which is my absolute favorite in the whole world. With just a few joggers and dog walkers, the park was ours to play in. And we did. We laughed, jumped, had ice-cream and celebrated Laurentiu and Ana’s love.
The civil marriage took place at Starea Civila Sector 4 and once inside, I realized I have come full circle. Not only in the sense that I have photographed Ana and her sister Simona since they were teenagers, but also because this is where I have witnessed and captured Simona’s “I Do“a few years ago. Sitting in the same room with both Simona (now expecting her first child), Ana and both their husbands filled me with an indescribable joy, the joy you get when you look at life and you know it makes sense and things are exactly the way they are supposed to be.
Ana, Laurentiu: May God bless you with the kind of love that will not fade away even for a second but it will become stronger and stronger, growing its roots deep inside your souls with every single minute!
